Pyle and District Stroke Club

Formed in 1989 by a small concerned group and affiliated to the Stroke Association, the Pyle and District Stroke Club meets at Cwrt Anghorfa Sheltered Accommodation every other Monday except on Bank holidays and August.

At present the membership is low but so is the number of volunteers providing transport of members without their own means of transport.

At the meetings members can relax in a warm, cosy lounge, enjoy a coffee or tea and a chat and take part in various activities such as entertaining talks, gentle therapeutic exercises, informal quizzes and games.

As available, speakers are arranged on topics of general interest such as travel, hobbies, local history and matters of benefit to the members.

Occasional excursions are arranged for lunches out, especially at Christmas and Easter times, with a trip in the summer to an accessible place of interest.

The Club would welcome caring drivers, men and women who feel that they can spare a morning once a fortnight.

Clergy Surgery

There are times when people need to see the Vicar about baptisms, weddings etc. Reverand Duncan Walker always likes to see people in church. Therefore because time is so stretched at Mawdlam, people should know that he always has time to see them at Pyle after the 11am service.
